It was from ancient times to the Amazigh tribes in Morocco. It was used by a wonderful and ancient system for organizing life affairs and for settling disputes. The person in charge of the position is called {Amgar}. This ancient system was invented by the Amazighs from ancient times and was effective in organizing their public affairs, broadcasting and To settle their disputes fairly, without the need for central or external authority.

The way inauguration of Amgar was that the tribesmen meet to choose one of the tribe's people in which special conditions are met, usually older than him and known for his integrity, integrity, wisdom and experience, and is known for his honesty and trustworthiness, to assume the position of Amgar to reside in disputes and disputes between individuals and families and Making decisions and also representing the tribe when negotiating with other neighboring tribes.

Minors who assume their position voluntarily without pay or compensation, and the minors represent the supreme authority of the tribe and be majestic side, the residents refer to him for the separation between them in their disputes and in their public and private rivalries and their various issues, and he also administers local sessions that discuss emergencies and the developments and issues of the tribe To make the appropriate decisions, and above all, he should have been a diplomat able to negotiate successfully with Imgarn from neighboring tribes when disputes between tribes.

The funny thing is that the tribal elders were evading taking the position of Amgar, not to escape the difficulty of the position, but they see themselves as ineligible for that, so the residents were not confused about choosing a sheikh for the position but rather in finding someone to accept it, so the residents had to choose one of the sheikhs in absentia. On purpose, they would see him eligible for the position of Amgar, so they would come to his house to urge him to accept, and Amgar’s term would not end except with his death or his resignation for an acceptable excuse.

It should be noted that the Amgar system was used by most Amazigh tribes in Morocco in Souss, the Middle Atlas and the countryside as well, and from here the ancient Amazigh community's genius is manifested in self-organizing without slipping into chaos, even when there is no central or external authority. This ancient system is almost disappearing today after massive immigration towards cities and after the state’s authority covers all remote areas of Morocco.
