The historical Amazigh "Ikodar" warehouses are the oldest banking system in the world, as they were facilities devoted to saving, storing and protecting the money and property of families living in the oasis urging the supervision of a tribe trustee who is known for its honesty and integrity.
These stores, which are located in the middle of the forts, contain dozens of small rooms, and each family was assigned one account, which is a special room in which you place all the precious possessions such as jewelry, money and grains to protect them from looting and theft.
Cool! Never knew that.
