The British newspaper "Telegraph" published a recent medical study on the effect of eating dairy products on reducing the risk of bowel cancer.
The researchers based on 80 clinical studies and observational studies. To understand how different foods and medications affect bowel cancer risk.
The researchers found that, in addition to fruits, fiber and vegetables, dairy products also play a large role in reducing the risk of disease.
Professor Marc Bardo, from the Clinical Investigation Center of the INSERM Institute in Dijon, France, who participated in the study, said: "We found that eating dairy products was associated with a 13 to 19 percent reduction in the risk of bowel cancer."
He added, "We also discovered that eating more vegetables, fruits and fiber proved to be more effective, as it reduced the risk of disease by up to 50 percent."
The researchers suggest that red meat and processed foods have the opposite effect, increasing the risk of bowel cancer by up to 20 percent.
