On the foundations of the Romanesque-Gothic church, this Baroque parish church was built in 1761, dedicated to the patron saint of the city of Varaždin, St. Never. The unique Gothic tower, unusual for continental Croatia, has the built-in coat of arms of the city of Varaždin from 1464. Above it is the rest of the former church with an interesting detail - a stone bear. There used to be a fence at the top of the tower and there was an organized fire watch. The tree-lined avenue surrounding the church marks the former cemetery where by the end of the XVIII. century buried by the people of Varaždin. In the niche of the tower there is a statue of St. Florian, so often present in Varaždin.
