Petar Zoranić Square

Petar Zoranić Square in Zadar carries the name of the famous Renaissance poet and novelist. You can reach the square from different directions; streets, alleys, squares and parks. Today the Petar Zoranić Square is a place for gathering, fun, biggest happenings in the city and events. 

Petar Zoranić Square is located on the southeastern side of the Peninsula in Zadar, on the south it was borned by a bastion from the 16th century, and from the northwestern side by the Rector's Palace. There was once an antique city gate with a monumental triumphal arch, and its maintained and preserved remains with new fragments from previous times testify of the continuity of city identity and openness for new contents.
