New Year’s Resolution: Make 2021 Your Lovely Year

As the year 2020 ends, here comes another book for us to live and be grateful for.

Here are some tips on how to make year 2021 fruitful and gracious:

  1. Forgive yourself. Before anything happens, you have to forgive and accept everything that happened in the past. Your mistakes are lessons; you came from the battlefield — let the pain and heartaches make you a better person. Forgive yourself, let the sorrow you feel for yourself go.

  2. Make new routines. Making changes in your life does not happen overnight. As long as you know that these changes will do good to you, all you have to be is patient and slowly adjust yourself and your environment. Small progress is still a progress.

  3. Cut off some ties. We deserve to be with people who have genuine intentions towards us. Small circle of friends is better than too many people who don’t really care about you, worse is when they even pull you down.

  4. Step out of your comfort zone. Start making something that makes you a little bit uncomfortable — it means that you’re out of your comfort zone. There are times to settle down and there are also times that you should by trying out for something you’ve been worried about to do.

  5. Embrace your failures. Your failures won’t define who you are. What you must remember is that you were brave enough to face the risks and try your best. You might fail, but you will learn, and you will be better and braver. Life goes down sometimes, but it does not mean that you will sink. Make the best on your fall and remember to fly back where you belong.

  6. Value yourself. You have to take care of yourself. Prioritize yourself above others. Give what your body needs—rest, food, hobbies. Don’t overwork and create time to clear your mind and unwind. It’s not a waste of anything when you do yourself a favor.

I hope here’s a new year to remember and a year to be the version of ourselves that we always wished for!
