My blog where I talk about my experiences with depression
Depression is not a topic that people often talk about. There’s a stigma that surrounds it that I find quite upsetting. I’m not a big fan of being lonely, so I want to encourage you to talk about your feelings and experiences.
My story
I was diagnosed with depression at the end of high school. It was a difficult time for me and I struggled to find my way out of the darkness. I’m still trying to figure out what exactly happened to me and why I have the depression. There are so many things I have gone through. I think one of the hardest things is that depression makes you feel like you’re different. It makes you feel like you’re not good enough, that no one will accept you, and that you don’t deserve to be happy.
What is depression?
Depression is a mental disorder characterized by a persistent low mood and loss of interest in daily activities. Depression is also marked by changes in behavior, feeling, thinking, and sleeping. Typically, depression is a long-term condition, and it is not clear what causes it. There is no single diagnostic test for depression, so it is diagnosed by a health professional based on the person’s symptoms and medical history. Depression often has a negative impact on the individual’s family and friends, work and school life, and personal relationships.
