If your place is cloudy or it will rain, the air in the surrounding environment feels so hot. It can even make us hot and sweat even at night. Usually before it rains it is marked by overcast clouds and light drizzle.

But in fact there is one thing that is always a marker before it rains, namely the hot air. Then, why this can happen? This happens because in the process of changing water into gaseous form or also known as evaporation, energy absorption is needed in the form of heat.

Well, this heat energy will then be stored by the water vapor molecules, which in turn this water vapor will rise to the top and arrive at an altitude where the temperature is lower.

When hot air meets cold air, clouds form. When dark and cloudy clouds form, in the cloud there will be a process of changing water vapor into water. To become rain, the cloud must release the stored heat energy. Now this heat energy that we often feel before the rain.

Because it comes out in large quantities, this hot air affects the increase in air temperature around the place where rain will occur. This heat can occur for 20 minutes to 1 hour before it rains.

The atmosphere of hot air that occurs for 20 minutes to 1 hour before the rain fell. But in fact, this hot air can occur throughout the day before it rains, it can even happen at night, during the day, or in the morning.

In addition, other causes that can also affect the heat before the rain, namely the greenhouse effect. When overcast clouds cover the earth, automatically the sun's heat that has reached the earth cannot be reflected back and is trapped on the earth.

This understanding is getting clearer because the composition of the clouds is apparently mostly composed of ordinary air which contains a lot of pollutants such as carbon dioxide.

So it is this pollution that traps the sun's heat, exactly as explained in the greenhouse effect theory which traps heat with greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

So that's the cause of the heat and heat before the rain. Do not be surprised because if there is no hot sun but it feels hot, we have discussed this explanation earlier.
