1. Eating too fast

When you eat quickly, the hormone ghrelin, which signals when the stomach feels hungry, decreases. In fact, it takes 20 minutes to start eating until the message to stop eating reaches the brain. Simply put, when you eat too fast then you will tend to fill the stomach with excess food.

People who have the habit of eating in a hurry, tend to be overweight or obese. When eating too fast, the body is not given the opportunity to tell the brain that the stomach is full. Therefore, you will eat more than your body needs. The solution, try to slow down eating time by chewing more and enjoying every bite. So that the body has time to provide information to the brain that it is fully charged.

2. Lack of sleep

When we close our eyes too little to sleep, our metabolism slows down to conserve energy. This slowdown then triggers the hormone cortisol which can increase appetite.

The body then thinks that you need a lot of energy so it asks for more food. In addition, lack of sleep causes the body to release more ghrelin (a hormone that signals hunger) and less leptin (a hormone that signals feelings of fullness).

Irregularity of these hormones ultimately makes you want to eat more and do not have the sensitivity to know when to stop chewing.

3. High-calorie drinks

If you like packaged drinks with excess sugar, it's better from now on you to reduce them, because these drinks can make you gain weight. Even fans of blended coffee have to be careful, because usually contemporary coffee is added with whip cream made from egg whites.

Protein can indeed make you full quickly, but if whip cream has been mixed with milk and others, the calories that enter the body will be more. High-calorie drinks are also found in soda and alcoholic beverages.

4. Skipping normal meal times

Skipping normal meal times, for example breakfast is coupled with lunch so that the eating schedule becomes chaotic. In addition, skipping breakfast can slow down the body's metabolic processes, as a result your body will quickly feel hungry so that at the next meal you will be eager to eat more and snack on anything more often.

5. The habit of sleeping all day

Sleeping all day is very pleasant, because we don't need to be tired to do activities. But don't blame yourself if your weight will go up due to lack of activity and just lying in the room. Even though for example we are not working, it is better for us to keep doing activities that would make our body muscles move or even do sports activities that can make sweat come out of our bodies. In order to avoid this, look for activities that you think can be done even if they are light things.
