Introduction

Before my trip to Japan, I did not know much about their scientific and technological progress. But what surprised me was their moral advancement. I had not expected how clean and respectful the people were in Japan. The Japanese people have these principles derived from Shinto culture and Buddhism.

Ethics In Japan

A. Modesty

The Japanese are a very humble and respectful people. I noticed their humility in many situations. But what struck me is that when we finish meeting one of them, he goes out with us outside the building and continues to bow his head; In appreciation of us, he remains standing until we get in the car and walk, and he is still waiting for the car to go out of his sight!! And this one spoke to us not once or twice, but throughout our stay in Japan over a period of 21 days, which shows that it is not an exception, but it is the rule for them.

You find the work manager eating with the employees in the same place. The professor cleans the classroom with the students, and the prime minister leads a normal life, with no extravagance like others. Of course, there is great respect for those who are older than you.

B. Honesty : Taxi Driver

I got out of the hotel in Tokyo, and took a taxi. Of course, the taxi drivers do not speak English, so we gave the driver a map of the place, so he turned on the meter and set off, then when he brought us to a nearby street, it appeared that he was lost and did not know how to get there, so he stopped and started looking at the map, then did something I did not expect, and to this day I remember the situation With admiration and intensity. I have stopped the counter so as not to count any extra money!! And continued searching for five minutes in the streets for the place. A wonderful honesty that I found came out of it spontaneously and without thinking, as if it was an innate matter that he was raised on since childhood!!

Even ordinary taxi drivers work with respect and in a uniform ... respect for the profession, whatever it is

Why Japanese Honest ?

there are many reasons:

The Japanese have the principle of honesty (regardless, this principle came from Buddhism or from the ancient culture) and he believes in it deeply to the point of practical application and applies it even if there is no watchdog.

Another thing is that the Japanese indicates that he is a respectable driver! His salary is more than 2000 dollars a month, his car is clean, and most people respect him. He feels that the state gives him his right and treats him humanely, and the company does not delay in paying his monthly salary, and then finds that working on the principle of honesty is easy for him.

C. Oraganization and Discpline

It is fun to live in an organized country; The system is comfortable for the nerves, because everyone knows who and who is on it. Although Tokyo is a busy country, we noticed that there are no problems or any inconveniences.

Why?!

For three main reasons:

  • There is a clear discpline in the streets

  • Everyone knows and understands this system

  • That everyone applies the system (the big and the small, the citizen and the minister, the rich and the poor without distinction)

There is no censorship! But it is an internal control that exists in the Japanese individual. A clear conscience understands that the application of the discpline will benefit his country and society, and therefore him personally in the end.

The organization increases productivity and psychological comfort.

There is nothing sweeter than for each person to respect himself and to apply that trait without harming others.
