Corona has changed the world of entertainment. Instead of cinema halls, people are leaning towards OTT platform. Along with movies and dramas, web series have become popular all over the world at present. Many stars of small screen as well as big screen are now acting in web series.
India's top OTT platform Hotstar has offered Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan Rs 60 crore to star in the Hindi version of Tom Hiddleston's 'The Night Manager'. This information has come up in the report of Hindustan Times.
In the report, Ken Ghosh, the producer who has conducted multiple web series, said that if big stars like Hrithik are added to the OTT platform, the budget will be bigger and they will be able to benefit by raising that budget. And if Hrithik joins Hotstar, others (OTT platform) will not be able to create content with just newcomers.
The Hindustan Times did not elaborate on Hrithik's offer of Rs 75-80 crore, though the report cited the opinion of several film-related people about the benefits of big stars joining the OTT platform.
