Children surrounded Nasreddin Hodja, who came to the market. “Teacher, whistle for me!” said someone. “Me too, me too!” said another. Others in order: - I'd like a whistle too! – One for me too!, they said. Only one of them gave Nasreddin Hodja money for the whistle. Hodja took the money and went to the market. When the teacher returned from the market in the evening, the children surrounded him. Everyone wanted his whistle. The teacher took a whistle out of his pocket and gave it to the boy who gave the money. The other children shouted in unison: – What about our whistle? Nasreddin Hodja smiles, “He who gives the money blows the whistle,” he said.
