"Science is like magic", "Science can do this and that can be done". You will often hear such long words and even scientists in the laboratory do not know what to do in closed rooms. The common man is not aware of it and the next generation is not interested in it.
The question is, if science is really a magical
thing and our planet has benefited from scientific research, should children and adults be addicted to it? But this is not often the case, because it is extremely difficult to convey all the work that is done in the laboratory to the common man in a way that not only makes sense to him but also arouses his interest. And just think, if it is difficult to explain to adults, then why and how to create interest in younger ones?
In any case, people generally think that science and scientists are both dry and boring things, which hardly have anything to do with the subtle senses of life.
In many other countries, including India and Pakistan, where beatings, intimidation or emotional blackmail are usually the most successful way to get a job, what else is needed? Because under the traditional method, we are only making a certain type of gogo horse that is poor in line. Or if the sentence is not inappropriate, then the hero in the movie Three Edits who tells the girl that your father is running a factory in which donkeys are manufactured every year, would not be out of place. Because even those of us who go to study science by mistake are not taught or explained science, they are reprimanded. And mistakenly because we have a tendency to read science, laughter and happiness because children have no acquaintance, and as soon as they are born, the writ of making an army officer, doctor, engineer or bureaucrat or lawyer is loud and noisy. And then when the children do not enter this side, they are forced to study physics, chemistry and reluctantly. That is why for a long time we try to fill our stomachs with the discoveries of other nations, and move back and forth.
The question is how to instill interest in children and how to explain to the general public that science is something and that we can really do something magical with it. Different activities are organized for this in different parts of the world. And I really liked one of the activities that took place here at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, and when I saw it, I sighed and wished that something like this had been told to us as a child.
It happens that one day in a year, all the research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences are opened to the public and children, which is called Scientific Day for the People. Each research institute exhibits simple, interesting and common sense experiments in accordance with its research which can be performed in front of children in a limited time without any difficulty and the children can do it with their own hands.
For example, since our work is on batteries, we made a battery out of lemons and potatoes to illuminate an LED bulb with it, which the children themselves could easily do in front of us and be happy.
In the same way, there is a great magical concept of a train which has neither tires but hangs in the air very high above the ground and travels at a very high speed. Trains running in such air are already running in a Chinese city. Because it was related to the force of a magnet, physicists set up the experiment for the public, where the interest was palpable.
I used to wonder how small breastfed babies would jump when they saw these scenes and applauded and jumped for joy. The color changes and then especially a drop of water in the air without any support. I've read about these things before, but seeing them for yourself gives a different feeling. And the excitement in his work increases.
So Mr. Reader! Think of how we can instill in our children a passion for science instead of teaching them science under duress. So that maybe we can start a series of scientific discoveries.
