I am only a Bitcoin Cash investor and wannabe user, not involved anywhere, or have any connections. But I am honored to be here and have such incredible personalities striving to make a difference.
Bitcoin Cash is the underdog but is fighting a righteous cause. It has amazing developments and technology. When transacting it takes less than a second to send money around, and nobody even considers fees.
But there is more in Bitcoin Cash. The amazing community of developers and users, those that create on Bitcoin Cash, those that develop the code and those that develop on top of Bitcoin Cash.
Different personalities and sometimes difficult to match but all having the greater common good of Bitcoin Cash as the main target.
eCash
Not going to lie and tell that everyone is great. It is not like a group of saints over here, just I am happy that everyone is keen to leave behind troubles and work towards a common goal with persistence and keeping distance from previous toxicity that already brought Bitcoin Cash down a lot.
I read from the side that went with ABC that the talent is all over there and Bitcoin Cash is no match for eCash. I see nothing at all, though. ECash was only another marketing trick, messing with the supply of coins in circulation and having a very centralized development team. It succeeded in an enormous pump but does this make it a project that has the potential to be used for payments or did it only had its pump and dump moment where most of the "talented" eCash community got paid an not-so-deserved bonus?
I have no reason to discredit the ABC side since I am only looking at this investing wise outside of all of this when it happened. When oriented towards selecting between eCash or BCH, why is there a need for eCash anyway? What I understand is the side of Amauri was getting paid too much for offering too little.
Without ABC, is Bitcoin Cash suffering from any serious flaws or any serious attacks or any kind of problems on the blockchain scale? It looks like the side of Amauri was overpaid without any tax already.
Although, Bitcoin Cash, as I understand this, did not exclude Amauri, and did not censor any conversation, the arguments were allowed. At least this is how I read about this Bitcoin Cash civil war and how it seemed to an outsider. There was no Theymos censorship and basically everybody went their own approach and eventually there was no consensus and a split happened.
Unlike the BTC scaling wars when a small minority won the debate by manipulating and excluding the majority from the communications, the ABC arguments were not silenced but effectively discussed and countered by the side that won.
Even previously with Craig Wright there was too much confussion and Craig was extremely hostile as always has been. This antisocial behaviour of Wright together with the difficult to believe Satoshi claim were a drawback for Bitcoin Cash.
Finally
The character of the remaining community in Bitcoin Cash may have different people and different ideologies but at least these are not at the mental state of Craig or the other side of BTC, with Theymos and Back under control of development and narratives.
Now, I tried unsuccessfully to beat the bush and divert the topic into Blockstream. I had to do this since Blockstream currently is playing the ace it held in its sleeve.
It is big time for Back and Mow. A previous offer to El Salvador is now a $ 1 Billion contract and Blockstream is grabing all this stake.
Maybe you missed this but if so, then you missed what matters.
Alright, I'll give you a link and you can begin from there, this was the conclusion of the post anyway and I will expand into this Blockstream-Gangster goverment love affair another day. (here).
I don't know how many are reading and extracting anything useful from my post, I think that maybe a couple of folks in here like what they read so I'm going to keep it like that. Like in politics, the crypto news that matter are not discussed at all.
It's true that BCH is still not getting the light it deserve. The technology is amazing. Maybe a price pump will attract more people. I didn't know much about what you called the ABC side. Enjoyed reading it.
