I read a lot lately about the marketing strategy of Bitcoin Cash, and I also wrote some parts previously about what should be done, but there is a feeling by some members there is need for some central plan and operational guidelines.
What will be created though is not sustainable. Was it sustainable back in November 2017 when the price of BCH was trading at $ 5000 at some top exchanges, I think it wasn't.
What about those that were buying Bitcoin Cash at this price? There should be many that bought above the $1000 price mark.
It is frustrating to see Bitcoin Cash price so low, but the only reasonable strategy we have is to keep accumulating and using out BCH but not selling at exchanges.
Have this in mind, if you do not sell your Bitcoin Cash for fiat, price will not drop.
Why Bitcoin cash will thrive
The time will come when a certain investing criteria in crypto will be set by a top investment fund, and these will be technical criteria. The quality of the technical aspect of each blockchain is about its functionality, practicality and the approach to the user.
Talking about price, some expect to see Bitcoin Cash at $10,000 or even higher, but we should be better stick to the truth of the situation and hope for adoption first.
What kind of adoption we want?
If this is just hype, then as I explained price will be ten times higher in just a month or two and then drop again within the next years. Do we want to have the same scenario? Is Bitcoin Cash worth $5000 today?
It can be only with a certain pace in adoption levels and this is only about the people in Bitcoin Cash.
Another problem is concentration. It is serious, but as adoption keeps increasing those BCH whales will also have to keep selling part of their stack. It happened exactly similar with Bitcoin all these years.
The top whales of Bitcoin today are the exchanges Coinbase, Binance and I think Bitfinex is still one of the top. Then there is Grayscale, and some funds that bought BTC to provide investing services to many institutions.
Bitcoin Cash has not reached there yet, but it will, with enough time and enough adoption.
I ask what kind of adoption we need?
We have people in this field today acting as marketing agencies but they don't even hold a single BCH, even after getting paid a lot for years. Yet, they make claims, ask for more, calculate their odds, threaten they will abandon Bitcoin Cash and more of that. Maybe they missed their chance to be close friends with Richard Shueler - Heart, or maybe they had some ethics left when Heart had none.
Bitcoin Cash does not need one leader, this is not even an issue. It needs honest personalities, transparent and successful.
Not just mercenaries threatening to abandon the project if they don't get paid well.
You know why Bitcoin Cash will succeed without mercenaries?
Because the community never needed them. It helped them to set their plan in motion, supported them with flipstarters and personal donations, and welcomed them, without even giving them directions and setting
Why Bitcoin succeeded?
It has people believing in the revolution. It also had mercenaries, traders, scammers, hackers and drug dealers.
Lets just say these were even more than those honest Bitcoiners for the most time. Ask anyone of them if they were just thinking the money.
Nobody was in Bitcoin just for the money from 2008 to 2017.
This is what we need to change in Bitcoin Cash, have everyone understand this is not just for the money there is a lot more. One person doesn't make a difference in a blockchain, perhaps some already have figured it out.
Ethereum may have Vitalik pumping price but Ethereum was his creation. We don't have Satoshi in Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash. Once he was gone, there was no leader.
It wasn't Gavin Andressen, it wasn't theymos, and not Adam Back is today a leader in Bitcoin.
Maybe we misunderstand Bitcoin Cash with perhaps some token a dev creates, promotes, and tries to make it big.
One leader doesn't make a difference. Is Musk a leader in Dogecoin today and what has he accomplished? Doge is already 80% lower from the ATH in only six months from there.
Finally
Bitcoin Cash needs successful people. And not one leader but multiple leading personalities. The community does not want more drama so they do not even respond to these calls.
The community of Bitcoin Cash is not another Dash or a second BSV. Bitcoin Cash has no leader and doesn't need one. It is a concept that is invalid to ask, you can't contact someone or vote on who will get the most for marketing.
Stick to what is given each time, it is the best strategy and nobody is getting more. You don't believe in the cause and don't care for Bitcoin Cash? Nobody cares. You can either stay or move on with any business plan you have ready.
Bitcoin Cash needs multiple leading names that will grow and have a voice in the cryptocurrency market, accepted for their knowledge and influentiality.
There are a few that can grow and become top quality advocates for Bitcoin Cash, but not by asking to be leaders. Not by accusing the community and not by creating divisions. Sad that Bitcoin Cash has such bright individuals but easily lose focus, lured by promises of getting rich quick.
Well composed, your thoughts are.
I wish I knew an (English) word for those who inspire instead of 'lead'.
"Inspirationalist" is too cumbersome and "influencer" is inadequate.
Whatever the correct term it may be, it refers to someone who:
