Energy is everywhere around us and in the last 150 years we are slowly starting to understand it. Now we know that energy is the cause of all things and matter is the effect or the outcome. For example we can see the iron pins pulled towards a magnet but we cannot see the magnetic force or energy. We only see the effect of that energy.
When we run our computer it needs an electrical source, it may be direct from the plug point or stored in the internal battery. When the source is exhausted the computer will stop working, but when it is again introduced it will start working.
In the case of human body when I stop the intake of oxygen I will die. But after death if I am again given oxygen I will not be alive again. Even before the decay of the internal organs if I am given oxygen I will not be revived. I may be put on a heart-lung machine and my heart will start beating artificially but I will not be alive actually. We can say the organs became old and defective, but even if we were able to replace the defective organ after death then also life would not return.
What is the difference between the two cases? What actually stops or leaves the body that cannot be re introduced. Science does not understand it nor is it trying to investigate it seriously. In spiritually it has been explained through ages.
Is this energy the same as other form of energies or something different? We have now instruments to measure all forms of known energy but not for this one.
As per Indian philosophy it is called as ‘Prana’ the life force. Across the globe it is termed differently but the meaning is the same. The consciousness, awareness, emotions, cognition in us works due to this life force. The effect or outcome of this energy is a living, moving, thinking human. Not only human but any life form of any size and shape, even plants. We prefer calling it the Supreme or the God.
Once we understand that there is an underlying source of similar kind of energy connecting all life forms then we start believing it as to be the link between all life forms. That is we go beyond the physical form (the effect) to the source form (the energy). Is this what happens in self realization?
There are so many factors that balance life and the eco system on this earth. Is this the force that is connecting everything and maintaining the balance? Not only the earth, the balance of the universe, which is so random, is it this force working as an equilibrium force behind the known energy sources? We just don’t know, but the effect of this force can be interpreted as working towards managing all other forces that give stability to the universe.
We had about 5-6 extinction level events on this earth when external object from space hit the planet. This caused massive destruction with extinction of majority life forms. So it can be said that such incidences imbalance the equilibrium for some time till it is again regained. But if we say that this energy is the Supreme God then how can God lose its equilibrium for some time?
We say that everything happens by the will of God, and then If God created those extinction level events, then how come God also got affected by it. It is like God created a storm and he himself got blown away by the storm.
Similarly this ‘Prana’ force which if it actually binds the life force and all other forces in this universe must be dependent on some ‘Super master force’. That ‘Super master force’ must be beyond the effect of all known and unknown energy, beyond the effect of time and space. Now the ‘Super master force’ becomes the source of all sources and the Prana and other known and unknown energy become the effect and outcome.
Is this ‘Super master force’ known as God, the Supreme?
Who knows but we all believe.
