A popular question for young people from the
sixties to the present new millennium…
IS IT OKAY TO ENTER THE FRAT?
Some say NO, some say YES
Many debates have been built with the winner on
the NO side and the winner on the YES side…
But the question still has no direct answer. You
may be told on TV or radio that we should ot join
it, but in the real world you live in, we know that
there is a strong influence that will convince us to join it.
In fact, FRATERNITY would not have been an
issue if what they called HAZING had not been
controversial, a form of trial or initiation that you
must go through to become an official member or
brother of the organization.
HAZING became an issue when LIFE was
involved!
It is not unknown to us that there are those who
have lost their lives because HAZING here has
become controversial and perhaps the big
question has been formed as to whether it should
join.
The answer to the question of the title of this
article is by asking that
WHY?
Yes that is the answer to the question SHOULD
THE FRAT ENTER?
Why do you join what is your goal?
You know well and be clear to yourself the answer
to the question WHY ???
If your goal is due to material things or
materialistic intentions such as having the
opportunity to be feminine, influential in various
things or perhaps a power for other people to
fear… If this is your only goal, all I can say is
please do not try to join the organization you are
planning to join. Let's go out if you can overcome
the initiations, trials or hazing while you are still
alive I am worried that you may become a kind of
person over-dependent on the power of others
and lose your confidence and confidence in
yourself and above. Remember that the person
who always borrows strength from his position or
status is weak, that is what I am worried about
you you may think you are strong because on the
outside you look influential but on the inside you
are weak especially if your FRAT.
When your goal is to join a FRAT because you
know you have the same passion or purpose in
life, you want to be surrounded by people with
similar interests or beliefs for example the
fraternity will join to fight pollution and this goal
is you really take it to heart and agree, for me I
see nothing wrong for you to join it.
There are FRATs that are formed because they
have a significant livelihood or struggle and there
are FRATs that have sprung up just because they
want to form a force to be used for abuse and this
organization for my own opinion should be
avoided. Not because power is bad but because
instead of making you really strong you will be
made weak.
Regarding the test, initiation or HAZING that is
implemented in each organization before
becoming a true member, it is up to you to leave
the decision. this if you can overcome it or maybe
this test will only teach you to get
revenge….Remember the word FRATERNITY OR
BROTHERHOOD in the Tagalog word is
KAPATIRAN or can also mean relative and do you
think the test you will be asked to do is a
meaningful task that you can do for your own
brother or relative?
