Bawaslu chairman Rahmat Bagja explained that this Joint Decree (SKB) shows the government's seriousness in maintaining the neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the 2024 election. ) who are proven to have violated will clearly receive sanctions.

"This is positive and encourages future elections to be even better and avoid all interventions against the State Civil Apparatus (ASN)," said Bagja at the KemenpanRB Holdingroom Building, Jakarta, Thursday (22/9/2022).

In line with that, the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia, Azwar Anas condemned all acts of violation that tarnish the Neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). Because, he added, sanctions can start from warnings to dismissal if they commit serious violations in this matter.

"We will oversee this stage as the government's commitment to running the election process at all levels goes well and transparently," hoped Azwar.

On the other hand, the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tito Karnavian, emphasized that despite strict supervision regarding the neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) from various stakeholders, the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) still has the political right to vote. But not to use the power they have to side with certain party candidates.

"The Election Law states that the General Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) can mediate if there is an alleged violation, the second and third administrative sanctions are even criminal sanctions. So the election supervisory organizers report to law enforcement," Tito explained.
