Finding nutritious foods at your weekly store should not be difficult: there are many simple and inexpensive foods available to buy that will enhance your daily vitamin intake. Vitamins are important for keeping the body healthy and can help you lose weight, but others - such as vitamin D - have been shown to help protect people from COVID-19.
Rob spoke to Express Express.Co.Uk about how to give you your daily diet to add vitamin boosters from slightly changing your shopping list.
A nutritionist states: “Our bodies need vitamins and minerals, especially during the colder months, to fight infections, to raise the immune system and to improve mental health.”
Rob explained that scientists have recently requested that common food products, such as mushrooms and bread, be fortified with many vitamins and minerals.
A nutritionist has been working with UK and Irish Mushroom Producers to do a lot of research around this topic.
He said: “British and Irish farmers and farmers are rich in vitamin D mushrooms, and only eight provide you with 100 percent recommended daily diet.”

Because of the coronavirus and winter, the NHS has advised people to eat more foods that contain vitamin D, or to take vitamin D supplements.
“The latest NHS advice urges the public to consider increasing their vitamin D intake from five micrograms to 10 micrograms,” Rob said.
However, if you can’t get your hands on a vitamin D-rich mushroom and can only find a common type of vegetable, Rob recommended placing mushrooms in your window when the sun rises.
"Then they become a source of vitamin D," he said.
DON'T MISS OUT:
The nutritionist advised you to remove the mold from their wrap and leave it on the outside of your window for an hour before eating.
“Any variety will work, and it doesn't matter where they go up. It is best to do it between 10am and 3pm for 60 minutes, ”he explained.
Mushrooms are the only vegetarian diet that can make vitamin D as it contains a substance called ergosterol.
Foods that contain vitamin D also help with weight loss because nutrients increase the levels of serotonin in the body.
Serotonin can make you feel full, so it leads to a low-calorie diet and, as a result, weight loss.
There are many other foods that include high levels of vitamin D.
Fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, herring, and sardines are good sources of nutrients.
Cod liver oil can be an alternative if you don't like fish, and it also contains omega-3 acids.
Egg yolks contain vitamin D, and egg whites contain a lot of protein.
Rob also shares a list of foods that contain other important vitamins, such as vitamins A, B, and C.
When buying butter at your weekly or monthly store, choose Bertolli Original Spread, which is 20 percent of your recommended vitamin A daily amount if you eat two ten-gram portions.
Cheerios and Greek Feta cheese also contain high levels of vitamin A.
As for vitamin B, one eighth of a gram of Marmite a day contains 99 percent of your recommended B1 daily amount, 49 percent of your vitamin B2, and 80 percent of your vitamin B12.
About Vitamin C, Innocent Orange Juice, Vita Coco Natural Coconut Water, and Nesquik Chocolate Powder are all good sources of nutrients
