Life is good, wait, it is great. We are all experiencing life, and the universe at a very perfect and well established time. We get to experience all joys and pleasure that life throws at us and it is really a blessed journey. But we all know, our life in this world is so much limited and we will all one day die and will be gone from this world.

And the thing is, not only our own life is limited, but so is the lifespan of the world/earth actually! Just like anything that has an end, so is the life-span of the ball we are living on!

Will we then be able to leave this planet for good someday and settle somewhere else that we might call as second home?

Surely. We can explore so much in the vastness of this universe and we have so much potential to fulfill! But where should we go and how far we can go?

I don't think with the current technologies and knowledge we have right now, we can go as far as sci-fi movies gives us the possibility of! It is beyond our reach at the moment!

According to me, we should start right away from our very own moon!

The moon is only at a distance of around 300 thousand kilometers from us and we have also went to the moon before! We can put great efforts and use our technology to use moon and maybe settle there firstly as to use the land to inject some artificial methods to grow crops or something, then maybe we can also settle there as habitants, moon has no atmosphere so we need to create an artificial boundary and we can stay inside that boundary.

Next might be Mars.

Mars is a very similar in size as compared to earth. However, it is quite far away from earth. 280 million km is the distance, so we would need some vehicles to travel at a very high speed at a great accuracy or it will take us years to get there. Mars atmosphere is also composed greatly of carbon dioxide so not very much in our favor until we find a way to change it, like chemical reactions and other technology. Artificial shells is what we do need initially though.

Venus might not be feasible at all, at least from the knowledge we have right now!

The temperatures of Venus is at extreme, it gets too hot and too cold as much as 500 degree Celsius while going extremely low temperatures at night. Atmosphere is of sulphuric acid and it can be as anti-life as it can go! The same goes for Mercury as well!

I guess, our own moon and Mars is the only feasible destination we should take right now in our solar system and later expanding more with better technology and knowledge.

As we get more advanced, we might be able to get outside the boundaries of our solar system!

Our galaxy milky way consists of millions of such solar system in which there might be planets which might support life fully or even might host aliens already. But they are very very far away from us at the moment, like light years!

I guess, we should prepare for interstellar travel and focus more on technologies as well, but since we are limited in so many ways, we must also take care of the only home we got right now in the universe!

We should take care of our home because if we don't take care of this home, we will never learn the value of a home that supports our life and only our love and motivation towards value of life can enable us to reach higher heights to preserve life!
