The Chinese supercomputer Tianhe-2 or TH-2 (also known as “Skyriver-2” and “Milky Way 2”) is currently the fastest computer in the world. In the tests, it achieved a process speed of 33.86 petaflops, or 33.860 trillion calculations per second - which is twice as fast as the second on the list, the American Titan (17.59 petaflops per second).
Tianhe-2 was developed by a team of 1,300 scientists and engineers at the National University of Defense Technology under the auspices of the Chinese government, and this supercomputer, which uses a total of 3.12 million processor cores, will be used for simulations, analysis and state security applications.
It's really big and it looks amazing
