Former world record holder and eight-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt said five-time Golden Balloon winner Cristiano Rolando is now faster than him.
Bolt retired from athletics in 2017, but still holds world records in the 100 and 200 meters.
The 34-year-old ran 9.58 seconds in the 100 meters at the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, while 11 years ago, he also set a record in the 200 meters in the German city with a time of 19.19 seconds.
However, Bolt believes that Ronaldo is now faster due to the fact that he still plays at the highest level, and he characterized him as a "super athlete".
"Certainly Cristiano is faster than me now. He trains every day and he is a great athlete. He is always at the top of the game, he works hard and he is focused. I definitely think he would be faster than me at the moment," the Jamaican said. Bolt is also known as a big Manchester United fan, and after his final career he tried to play football. He also trained with Borussia Dortmund for a while, and was a member of the Australian Central Coast Mariners team where he did not impose himself more seriously.
