Sort of a Holiday Yesterday was Nov. 1 here in Manila. It was a special non-working holiday. November 1 is usually spent honoring the dearly departed. Pre-pandemic, the scenes in cementeries are like big parties and celebrations. Halloween parties pale in comparison. Well, much has changed. Not everyone goes to cementeries.
