Sort of a Holiday Yesterday was Nov. 1 here in Manila. It was a special non-working holiday. November 1 is usually spent honoring the dearly departed. Pre-pandemic, the scenes in cementeries are like big parties and celebrations. Halloween parties pale in comparison. Well, much has changed. Not everyone goes to cementeries. Others prefer to celebrate more solemnly away from the crowds. Others take advantage of the extra pay and report for work. I'm part of the last group. Of course, I already said my prayers for my departed love ones. At work, we sort of had a holiday celebration on our own. Ordered from 24 Chicken which has been a favorite of ours.
