What is the status of the "Russia" in the world?
Russia has always been very strong to the outside world, but it seems that many people do not like Russia. For example, Europeans don't like Russia very much, and Americans always "look at it differently", and even in many things, it seems that Russia is the opposite of the world. So what is the status of Russia on the international stage? Various arguments can be roughly summed up in two viewpoints, each with its own merits and completely different.
First: Some people think that Russia is a failed country. Although many "old diseases" have been borne by Russia after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, as the successor of a first-class power, Russia's performance in the later period is not ideal. They did not change the domestic economic model, from a single heavy industry to light industry such as agriculture, but instead embarked on the old road of the Soviet Union step by step. As a result, some experts believe that Russia's "reorganization" is itself a failure, not making changes or bringing a better life to Russians. Instead, they are in economic distress and they must face the "risk of bankruptcy".
Second: Others believe that Russia's development is very successful. The strong foreign policy has prevented Russia from "sleeping to death". Instead, it has begun to slowly find a breakthrough in the siege, pursuit and interception of the West. For example, the establishment of overseas bases in the Middle East has been recognized by more countries in the international community. For three decades, Russia has used various methods to support people to start a prosperous life. Compared with the "starvation" in the Soviet period, now Russia have a stable life, which is not a completely success. Many analysts said that: Russia should definitely become a big economic country, a country with great national strength and influence on the world.
Third: Some people believes that Russia is a successful country, but there are many aspects that need to be made up. Neither of the above two points of view is actually wrong. Russia has indeed achieved some success, but there are also some genetic problems. For example, excessive reliance on heavy industry has resulted in insufficient production capacity of light industry, and what people need in their lives is clothing, household appliances and food, not machinery and equipment. Therefore, to improve the quality of life, we still have to rely on light industry.
