Why I use Bitcoin Cash in Mozambique

Mozambique is part of the African continent, a territory that gained its independence from Portugal on June 25, 1975 and has always been a land of several currencies circulating in the square, since the times of our warrior ancestors where they used ivory and in exchange for porcelain. Trade with the Arabs until its compulsory expulsion with the arrival of the Portuguese merchant navy. These Portuguese explorers expelled Arab traders because they wanted to dominate trade and have a monopoly on Mozambican territory, and to penetrate further to negotiate directly with tribal chiefs, first in a peaceful tone, but later used military power to compel chiefs to give their ivory.

Humanity's worst business is also born here, when the explorers had the need to produce in the territories conquered by force and without manpower because of wars and the decimation of people, they engendered a new trade THE TRAFFICKING OF SLAVES who were often ceded by these same tribal chiefs in exchange for goods for use, such as gunpowder, weapons, wine and other objects that they desired. As always, they started out commercially with the chiefs and later used their own military power to hunt and enslave every healthy man and woman they found to work on the sisal plantations in Sao Tome and Principe, Brazil, Guinea Bissau and many others places where they were interested in exploration.

This was a dark period in the history of Mozambique and the world and unfortunately even today, even after slavery was abolished hundreds of years ago it is still registered, but the world has evolved a lot in trade.

This trade was the worse one, but it's a part of the human history

Mozambique developed, after independence, its own money, the Metical, but during the Portuguese presence it used the Portuguese Shield which was also used in the other colonies and made a country ten times larger than Portugal to be considered an Overseas Province, this Metical also suffered several metamorphoses because at first he had several zeros in his conception and made a peaceful citizen buy a simple bread with a thousand meticais note, but after a small adjustment all the zeros were removed and it was already possible to buy basic things with numbers like 12 Meticais and that sounded more realistic in the market.

This change in currency also gave rise to a new name in the currency, changing its name to NOVO METICAL and with the symbolization MZN leaving MT behind. This however did not change much beyond the removal of extra zeros in the currencies as inflation continued and the life of the peaceful citizen also did not have much to improve because of the resistance of the authorities to continue with a trade balance dependent on the foreign market, that is, almost everything existing in Mozambique comes from outside and the entire Mozambican economy based on the US dollar and the South African Rand, thus making local money always lose value whenever foreign currency banks enter a recession.

Mozambican Fiat money, the old one and the newest

So our money is on the brink of heavy inflation, and if we do nothing the catastrophe could be even worse.

With this current situation what is the best way

As I mentioned earlier, trade in Mozambique has already undergone several metamorphoses and will continue to do so, despite the fact that our currency suffers inflation, the country also follows global development and to continue to be part of this same evolution it is necessary to be aware of trends and digital financial means that can help to combat the high rate of inflation in various parts of the world.

In Mozambique, digital payments are often associated with transactions made through banking, where people can pay for their bills via mobile devices connected to the Internet and also to financial channels connected to telephone operators, which are widely used not only in Mozambique but in almost across Africa. One of the most used financial services is M-pesa (but it also has MCash, M-Mola) which is the channel that those without a bank account use more, because in an easy service to have and does not require a lot of paperwork for your opening with an initial 20 MZN anyone who has an identity card can get it right away. However, this service is not comprehensive and has its limit only in Mozambican territory, so it does not pay for products abroad and has its use limit, with minimums to be collected daily and annually.

So it is a centralized service and with certain excessive fees, but due to its ease of use, the adherence is greater.

So how to stay protected to face this situation

I have always been an innovator and have always followed what my conscience dictates, in the past I was a big PayPal user both for payments of affiliate program that I interacted with and for international payments for the acquisition of goods and services abroad, I was a great e-bay and Amazon customer, while many here in Mozambique still had to go to South Africa to buy their goods, I already did it via the internet and safely.

But times have changed and PayPal no longer gave me confidence because they could block my account out of the blue, either by claiming a different IP or "suspicious" movements in the account, which became a big problem. But it was not all bad, as my interest in decentralized currencies increased and I preferred to abandon PayPal and concentrate on this wonderful world of cryptocurrencies.

The passion for Bitcoin Cash leads to its direct adoption

I have always looked for decentralized currencies that could reflect a lot what is the reality of my country, an easy to handle currency, low rates, flexibility in network confirmation and a completely friendly currency. Like everyone who has entered this world I have tried several cryptocurrencies, BTC and ETH have always been on my menu but something was always missing and everything got worse when the transaction fees increased and so much so that, honestly, it didnโ€™t make logical sense to use them, since only the transaction fees are far above those that even M-Pesa charges, making them totally impractical.

With Bitcoin Cash I had the feeling of accomplishment, after years of tireless search for the currency of choice I finally found it and I can say with my mouth full that there is no better currency for decentralized use with it. I use and abuse its use and pay ridiculously low fees both for making small daily payments and for sending to people outside Mozambique (I have family members in South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe) and whenever possible I send some cross border value using Bitcoin Cash and they get paid on time using extremely reduced fees.

Just me, carrying the mission to spread de word about Bitcoin Cash ๐Ÿ˜Ž
My beloved wife, together we are the Mozambican ambassadors to spread the world about Bitcoin Cash ๐Ÿ˜‹

These reduced fees are very important in the adoption of Bitcoin Cash, as many people are looking for better ways to store and use money in a completely decentralized way, this helps even in fighting inflation and its use is of national and international character. Bitcoin Cash solves many financial problems, but it is important to remember that Bitcoin Cash is a form of money that provides more freedom to the individual does not guarantee wealth, but whenever possible I always substitute fiat currency in Bitcoin Cash and use it whenever possible using the "spend and replace" theory which always has the advantage of having BCH in my portfolio. I have practically no fiat money and when I want to use it I make a direct exchange with Bitcoin Cash.

The importance of Bitcoin Cash in Mozambique

Mozambique is a country that still doesnโ€™t have a lot of news in terms of cryptocurrencies, and awareness about Bitcoin Cash has become a mission for both me and my wife, who has also become a huge fan, and whenever possible we spread the good news with neighbors, family and even enemies๐Ÿ˜Ž a lot because the adoption of Bitcoin Cash is important for everyone:

  • Bitcoin Cash gives sense of financial freedom

  • Bitcoin Cash is decentralized

  • Bitcoin Cash has low transaction fees

  • Bitcoin Cash is quick to confirm on the blockchain network

  • Bitcoin Cash can and is used by most traders in the largest African and world metropolises

My wife, she's inspiration to other women here she spreads de word always when she can

Mozambique is a young country and many people make payments for products abroad using the US currency but with Bitcoin Cash this use and demand for dollars drastically reduces making payment safer, faster and less expensive in monetary terms, if with payment. in dollars, the merchant had to pay extremely high amounts to the banks to make payments, Bitcoin Cash only takes fractions of satoshis and the transaction is confirmed on the spot, giving more confidence to both the buyer and the seller.

Conclusion

The Mozambican territory still needs a lot of motivation when spreading awareness about Bitcoin Cash, which is practically not an easy task as there is still no awareness of cryptocurrencies but being the majority of young people and directed by a Young couple this awareness will be a strong weapon in the diffusion of Bitcoin Cash in Mozambique and in a few years the country will be A HOTSPOT FOR BITCOIN CASH IN AFRICA, and I and many others, consultants and ambassadors of BCH in the lands of Grandpa Samora.

Bitcoin Cash is the decentralized currency created by the people for the people and gives back all monetary freedom ... use Bitcoin Cash.
