Warning: twitter accounts hacked and public figures compromised with Scams giveaways!

This is the most combined hackers attack targeting verified and non verified accounts of public figures, personalities, crypto exchanges and so far there is a rumour that the criminals just with the attack managed to secure more than 12 BTC (still to be checked, as the attack effects still ongoing), worth more than $109,000 and the damages could be a lot more, the hackers after securing those accounts spreaded a wide range scam promising to give back double of what each user sent to the address. No one at the start imagined that was a scam and that the account were hacked!

Below there is a list of twitter hacked accounts and you will be surprised which ones they had, some still, on their control, even Barack Obama (former U.S President) and Bill Gates (Microsoft Chairman) got Hacked:

  • Binance Crypto exchange

  • Gemini Crypto exchange

  • Kucoin Crypto Exchange

  • Bitfinex Crypto exchange

  • ChangPeng Zhao, Binance CEO

  • Coindesk crypto media

  • Charlie Lee, Litecoin Founder

  • Justin Sun, TRON Founder

  • TRON Foundation

The hacked accounts scams promotions, if you see that stay away from it, not legit, those accounts have been compromised!

This are accounts who Twitter got noticed and working hard to give back control to the right owners, and in the meantime when the Team is working users could have problem to retweet or change passwords specially verified accounts. Until now there have been confirmation that 0.65 BTC (~6000) have been transfered to the hackers address (the value may varies as the incident proceeds) and seems that criminals used the old scam scheme to impersonate users:

"Giveaways where users need to send some Bitcoin and their suppose to send double back", a scam proved method that is ripping off peoples money and making millions to scammers, if something looks too good to be true is probably a scam, stay aware from that!

It's until know a mysterious situation of how the hackers could secure at same time so many Twitter accounts without being flagged by Twitter systems of defense, but I will be in touch to see what will be their statement about the incident and if it ended successfully.

I downloaded it but I cannot claim BAT as it says, I need 25BAT to be verified, how is that? I don't know how to do it that's why I uninstalled it. I used it before and brave is really a good browser it really works faster and better even in old models Androids.

You don't need to pay to be verified brave is free and always will, you just to be a verified publisher to earn from referrals but if you can't just watch some ads and get rewarded with bat tokens.

I've seen most of them on Twitter. Will I can recognize a fake Accounts and fake giveaways. They just need commonsense to know if they are fake or not. I got this followers and most them are fake Accounts and giveaways. This scammer are doing anything. And I think people are smart enough to recognize this scam Accounts.

As soon as I figured it out that the account is fake I report them immediately.

Not everyone have that sense of flag dubious accounts and that can be seen in the crescent numbers of people get scammed, and if they iae those officials accounts from billionaires, personalities its more easier to impersonate and steal from people, am glad you know how to deal with them!

“We detected what we believe to be a coordinated social engineering attack by people who successfully targeted some of our employees with access to internal systems and tools” said by Twitter Support thread and they are still investigating. It looks some internal tools were used by hackers to gain access to account and reset email and then spam it.

Coinbase also published a statement about this. They said they will block the transactions to the scammers addresses. But it's still funny how people can fall easily for that. I know they hacked verified accounts. But still! Why would anyone "double" the money you send him? If he is rich and wants to make a giveaway then why don't he just make it for free? Peoples are looking for fast "dreamy" profits. I know this is mean to say but...They deserve it!

People are so easy to manipulate than you may dream, there's nothing more stupid to believe in an account that promise to double your gains just like that and you right saying that, they already have money why to do that?! People need to start using their Head to think not just to want money easy!
