The Bitcoin Cash community is full of prominent figures many of whom spend a lot of time in anonymity or oblivion much because people are only focused on the final product forgetting that there is a process until Bitcoin Cash is ready for consumption. Developers, programmers play a leading role in the appearance and usability of Bitcoin Cash as they ensure that products created on top are safe and easy to use by providing tools to make that happen.

Today I will talk about one of those devs who has done a lot for Bitcoin Cash, developing innovative products that can be used and that have a Top performance, I mean Pokkst.

pokkst

Pokkst is a developer who worked developing products (in the past) for Bitcoin Core but who from 2019 moved to Bitcoin Cash to develop works that really impact the network directly. He is the developer of applications like crescent.cash (wallet) and also tipbitcoin.cash.

In addition to these milestones in his career, Pokkst is also responsible for the fork of the Java library for Bitcoin Cash.

Active participation in the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem

As I mentioned above, Pokkst has a lot of projects in his career as a developer, where we highlight 3 of them of greater dimension: the crescent.cash wallet, the tipbitcoin.cash application and the Java library for Bitcoin Cash.

The Java library for Bitcoin Cash is a fork of bitcoinj that Pokkst implemented and became its maintainer, the Java library has changes and fixes the original protocol bitcoinj.cash such as 32 megabyte block support, CTOR support, a full Cash account, SLP tokens, SLP NFTs, standard bIP44 integration, memo protocol functions and much more that can be seen on Pokkst's GitHub.

The crescent.cash wallet is a wallet that in addition to being able to receive Bitcoin Cash can also receive and send SLP tokens, it was the third wallet to integrate Cash accounts and one of the pioneers where users could send Bitcoin Cash via text message. Pokkst has also implemented a tip service on Twitch that allows anyone to tip their favorite streamer on the platform.

Tipbitcoin.cash was initially to be implemented on YouTube or even Facebook but software developer Pokkst opted for Twitch offering thousands of streamers the opportunity to receive Bitcoin Cash for their content on that streaming video platform.

Summarizing,

Pokkst has maintained the Bitcoin Cash Java bookstore in a job that has kept him active in the Bitcoin Cash community since moving his foundations to the ecosystem, he has already designed and developed useful projects that can be used by anyone who interacts with the Bitcoin Cash community. Bitcoin Cash. His wallet apps were the basis for the emergence of many other Bitcoin Cash wallets.

The service used to tip on Twitch allows video streamers to receive Bitcoin Cash in a fast, convenient and super fast way, it doesn't charge fees (only those charged by the network) and honestly for me, it's an app that revolutionized the way streamers could monetize their content on Twitch using a decentralized currency that is all about financial freedom and with extremely low fees.

It is a great pleasure to be able to write something about Pokkst and also to have the privilege of letting my audience know a little of what he has already done and continues to do for the Bitcoin Cash community. There are several charismatic and prominent figures in the Bitcoin Cash community and they deserve some recognition for their work towards the development, adoption and maintenance of the Bitcoin Cash network.

Facts!

I'm sure you've already used the bitcoin.com wallet with great pleasure, Pokkst has also contributed to the implementation of many functions that can be found on it, and it has more than 20 million users in the world, you can imagine its impact: -)...

Important Update.

I had some update from Pokkst on Reddit (that I thank in advance) to enlighten about his projects tipBitcoin.cash which was sold to supernerd 3 years ago and the buyer exit scammed and dumped all spice tokens but he still keep the code from it! Crescent.cash rebranded to pokket.cash also he keep maintaining the Bitcoin Cash java Library until today!

Was a pleasure to have him to clarify some notes in the article:-).

Bitcoin Cash has a lot of brilliant devs and applications. I'm hearing about pokkst for the first time though I'm new to BCH. I'm particularly fascinated by the tipping service tipbitcoin.cash. Thank you alberdioni8406.
