The largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by daily volumes, Binance, have sued the worldwide known media news company Forbes in a lawsuit against defamation. The lawsuit opened by Binance is extended for two of journalists of the media company accordingly with sources from Binance.
The lawsuit was filled this Wednesday November 17, 2020 and according to Binance crypto exchange it intended to seek justice against a defamation made by Forbes written by two of their journalists, Michael del Castillo and Jason Brett.
In the story written by this two employees of Forbes they claim that Binance conceived a plan to curb the United States regulations, with a well elaborated and very intentioned system dubbed tai-chi. The plan made by Binance according to the article written by Forbes using del Castillo and Brett was intended also to curb other government measures in the United States.
The Binance company in the lawsuit says that the article is false and very defamatory, with led the firm to lose millions due to those allegations and seek for justice, compensatory and punitive damages in an amount to be proven in a court trial. Using the same lawsuit the company claim that never made any scheme to curb the law regulations and all their operations are transparent fulfilling all the government recommendations.
Binance tried to reach Forbes to make the media news company to retract their article but the news firm refused to listen the cryptocurrency company with led to lawsuit. This is not the first time the company leaded by Changpeng Zhao aka "CZ" take or threaten a news company with the block crypto but this one it's intended to be taken until the end as Binance seek for justice.
The cryptocurrency company isn't measuring efforts to take down the giant media company and hired well known team of lawyers to conduct the lawsuit, with the attorneys Peter Pizzi and Selina Ellis of Walsh Pizzi O'Reilly Falanga LLP, as well as media litigation attorney Charles Harder of Harder LLP, the same Charles Harder who previously represented the United States President Donald Trump.
Charles Harder also represented the first lady Melania Trump and Hulk Hogan .
Called to leave some comments about the lawsuit against Forbes Charles said:
"Binance demanded Forbes' retraction or correction, but it has refused. This lawsuit therefore became necessary. Binance intends to see this lawsuit through to the end, to ensure the truth and protect its reputation."
It's clear that Binance is betting higher in this matter and want Forbes to pay what the company lost due to that "false news" with millions of dollars in prejudice and seems this will be a titans fight, with the largest crypto company and one of the most biggest media companies of the world.
The company led by Changpeng Zhao is protecting their right to defend themselves against false news and with that make the defamatory allegations go away but the other part, the giant company media to publish an article like that I believe to have did first a huge research and were based in realistic facts about, it's here where we could see a big fight in court as all the entities have sources to defend what they say. I will clearly follow up this matter and release the latest news on that!
This is just the beginning of a titans fight, and will be epic!
