The Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) is one of the few influential intelligence agencies in the world. ‘R’ was formed in 1986. The current head of the organization is Rajinder Khanna who is a deep expert on extremists.
Although the formation of RAW started after the Indo-China war of 1962, it was finally born on September 21, 1965 after the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965. The organization was set up by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to protect India at that time.
The motto of the organization is 'Dharma Rakshati Rakshita'. In the Bengali sense, the one who protects the
religion is always safe. Rameshwar Nath Kao was the first director of 'R'.
RAW is modeled on the CIA. So its officers are sent to America, Britain and Israel for training.
In addition to teaching how to use technical devices for spying and espionage in countries, training is also
provided on financial, economic analysis, space technology, information security, energy security and scientific knowledge.
The agency initially recruited officers from India's IB, Indian Police Services, Indian Military and Revenue Departments, but is now recruiting students from various universities
.
RAW is not accountable to the Indian
Parliament on any issue. The agency is accountable only to the Prime Minister and the Joint Intelligence Committee. The organization played a special role in
helping the freedom fighters of Bangladesh in the liberation war of 1971. At that time, the organization helped the freedom fighters by inquiring about the Pakistani soldiers.
Its main functions are to gather foreign intelligence, counter-terrorism, and conduct covert operations. One of its tasks is to play a role in shaping the
foreign policy of neighboring countries with which India is involved in national security by monitoring their political and military activities.
RAW collects and analyzes information about foreign governments, businesses, businesses and advises Indian policy makers accordingly. RAW has agents in
many countries of the world including Asia. The most interesting fact is that they have the support of Mossad for all their intelligence technology and weapons.Bhāratēra gōẏēndā sansthā ‘ra’ ēra pariciti biśbē prabhābabistārakārī yē kaẏēkaṭi gōẏēndā sansthā raẏēchē tāra
