The more you promise and fail, the more you are in debt, to avoid this, and to be a better person and entrepreneur we created this tool to help you. " The truth is self-evident. The truth is that your time on earth is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma." – Steve Jobs

Many people want a great life. They want to do what they love and make a difference in the world. They desire freedom, prosperity, and happiness. These people dream big and set huge goals for themselves. But sadly, most of them never achieve their dreams because they settle for the life, they have right now instead of making the sacrifices that are necessary to achieve their goals. They justify not taking action by saying “I’ll start tomorrow,” or “The perfect time will come when…” or “I’ll take care of this or that first.” Many of these people spend years or even decades with this mentality, always looking into the future and never taking action on the present.

“Promise is a debt, and it is better not to promise than to promise and not pay.” - Publilius Syrus

It is the season of gifting and generosity when you find yourself in a position to make promises to someone close to you. In the past few weeks, I have made several promises to my family which I could not avoid to give. Promises like - buying a new car this month, sending my kids with their cousins on an all-inclusive tour to Europe, buying that land cruiser I saw earlier in the year at the showroom, and many more.

Well, firstly, with excessive expectations and promises during this season, promises are not worth much. ‘’ A promise is a debt, and debt is an anvil that will hang over your head, slowly crushing you and everything you care about.” ~ Tabitha Suzuma

It's better not to promise anything that you know you cannot possibly deliver on. That doesn't mean we shouldn't make promises, it just means we should be honest about what we're promising, do our best to fulfill it, and be willing to let it go if it's beyond our capacity.

It is not in the interest of anyone to promise what they cannot give. So, it’s important to promise what you can comfortably give.

Today is a great day to check out your Holiday budget, there are so many things that we have to spend our money for and one of them is how much should we spend for gifts to our beloved ones.

• Promises is a debt, never promise what you know you can’t avoid to give, mostly in this Christmas season.

• Before you make any promises to anyone, do some self-introspection and make sure you are able to fulfill the commitment.

• Never make big promises to your wife/husband or children, put all your efforts in fulfilling those promises quick.

• Make sure the promises you are about making are realistic and the one that you will be actually happy to keep.

• Never promise anything that is not realistic and can go wrong.

• Never promise something you don’t have the budget for, and always plan according to your own necessities.

We also need to be careful not to make promises out of happiness and then we regret promising because we were so overjoyed to make such. We need to be careful.
