The price of ignorance is priceless. I'm not just talking about money, but something far more important. And it's been almost a decade since this phenomena was born, but still, people keep making the same mistake.

Cryptocurrencies are a hot topic in the mainstream media these days. It's just that I see most people don't know what they are talking about when crypto is being discussed. And if you don't have any experience with crypto and you're trying to learn about it by watching the news, well, you're going to get a very one sided opinion of cryptocurrencies that will most likely lead you to form some very problematic opinions about them in general.

And if you're going to form an opinion about something, it better be an educated opinion. Otherwise, that opinion will be worthless.

In the recent days, I have been reading about things people condemn as scams and ponzi schemes and then clearly, through my own research, I come to the conclusion that many of these things actually aren't.

We all want to know what we are investing in, we want to know what we stand for, so I will try to be a source of education for you even if you come to the wrong conclusions - I will tell you about it.

You will notice that if you want to discuss cryptocurrency, you must use the right terminology. Words like blockchain, mining or forks can be very confusing. And this is your first problem.

The second problem is that if you want to know the value of a cryptocurrency, you will have to go online and find the price. But this is only the value of the currency in US dollars, not necessarily in the local currency.
