Loyalty pays

Loyalty is supposed to be something that is rewarded.

What is loyalty?

Loyalty and commitment are both elements of the same equation. The definition of those terms may vary depending upon the individual and their perspective in life. For some, commitment is everything and loyalty is their mantra and for others loyalty is a hard thing to achieve, while they strive for commitment. Neither one of these individuals is more correct than the other, it’s just their outlook on life. When you are putting your best effort into something, it should be something that you enjoy doing.

It’s good to see our loyal partners, who’ve worked with us and supported our mission, grow as we have. We’re proud to be their trusted partner, but we’re also proud to share in their successes.

People want to be loyal, they want to be true to their team. But let's face it, when you get down to it, they're not loyal. And I don't just mean in romantic or family relationships, or even with their friends. I mean, people aren't all that loyal to you as a company or brand, either.

The fact is, people don't really start businesses or buy products because they're loyal to the company. They do it because the company has done something for them. They either solve a problem, give them an irresistible value proposition, or provide a lot of convenience in the purchase process. In short, companies have to earn loyalty through gratitude by providing value and service.

The good news for companies of all kinds is that it's not as complicated as it sounds. The truth is that customers generally appreciate good products, convenience and savings over loyalty programs any day of the week. So every time your customers are offered a good deal or an equally convenient option that is also less expensive, they'll drop you like yesterday's news.

It’s not just about wins or profits. It’s about relationships. It’s about how you make people feel. It’s about value-added service. It’s about high-quality products and attention to detail.

Loyalty is something that many of us take for granted, until we don’t have it. And then, it’s either a moot point or, worse yet, we have to work hard to earn it back. Here are some of the ways loyalty can be reward:

1. You might get a discount.

2. You might get free shipping.

3. You might get free products or services.

4. You might get early access to new products and services.

5. You might get access to exclusive deals and events.

6. You might get access to VIP events and programs.

7. You might be given priority service when you call customer service or reach out via social media.

8. You might be given more control over how you access and manage your account online.

9. You might be given access to special member forums and/or real-time chat support if you need it.

10. You may not get any of the above, but your business or personal relationship with a particular company may just last longer because of the loyalty you have for them and their products/services (they have earned).
