As a follow-up, I went ahead and created the 2 chips to capture those "big hitter" features of PMv3, but in a non-breaking and I think least-complex way. Just the tech description is written for now. RSN was dropped, and TX compression was sacrificed to keep it simple - but path is open to enable deduplication by allowing cross-references and signature aggregation in some later upgrade.

Together with native tokens I call them "the big 3", and under "Deployment" section of each I marry them using codename "PMv3+" :smile:

General purpose induction covenants would be enabled through detached proofs, and group genesis is made simple again but it still commits to one input ref and itself so where it makes sense you can make some unforgeable contracts with a smaller proof.

There's a nice synergistic benefit: by creating a token genesis you can preserve some TXID and carry it for later use in some contract's proof by first unpacking groupID and then the TXID from its preimage.
