In an inflection point in my life when I was struggling to put even mundane experiences into words, a dear friend abruptly cut me off mid-sentence saying "never explain yourself. Your friends don't need it and your enemies won't believe you anyway".
It's solid advice. Cats never explain anything either.
Maintain a little mystery. Let people wonder what you are thinking.
