Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers how to turn on the light
"Life is never so smooth what we generally expect. We go through ups and downs in the whole journey, as we experience in a roller coaster. That's why, it's completely humanly to be depressed, pessimistic, anxious and downhearted when we undergo the gloomy phases of life. Isn't it? What if we keep our mind calm in the difficult episodes? It will help us to find a suitable way out. We all know that a stormy mind never let us ponder to find a way ahead but still we do the same mistake. Instead of being stuck over the severity of the problem, it would be better, if we can accept it and proceed to find out a worthy solution.
So, what is happiness? Is it an action? No, happiness is a state of our mind. It radiates tranquility, calmness and efficient problem solving capacity to us. If we analyze, we will find out that, being happy depends on the point of view of an individual. It is stupidity to consider some worldly entities as the source of our happiness. For instance, one can be happy with a hovel and in contrast, one may be disappointed with his edifice.
In response to Draupadi's question, once Lord Krishna had said, "Happiness is not for those who only long for it but for them who can identify the same"
Happier are those who can identify the silver lining in adverse situations. Look around! Listen to those who never called it a day, even amidst thousands of difficulties. We have to learn from them how to sail through the darkest episodes.
Life is 10% of what we do and 90% of how we react. So, it's better to change your point of view instead of the situation. Life is beautiful when you meander along with its shape to find your own path. :)

The fundamental reason why happiness is so important is that it's extremely vital to our own goals in life and can help us achieve many other cherished personal ambitions and goals. Also, by being happy, we have the potential to change many other lives just by being ourselves. Happiness is the "secret sauce" that can help us be and do our best.
