About Murud beach

Murud is a town inside the Ratnagiri locale of Maharashtra, India. It is 420.92 hectares in size.

It is situated in the Dapoli sub-locale (taluka) of the Ratnagiri area. Murud is generally called Murud-Harnai to separate it from Murud-Janjira (near Alibag).

Murud is a developing explorer spot notable for its picturesque seashores, notable sanctuaries, and medieval ocean stronghold.

The social reformer Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve, Bharat Ratna was born here in 1858. This place is beautiful, not very crowded, and has preserved the natural beauty and made of very soft sand.

Best time to visit Murud Beach

Murud is a place that may be visited all through the year; however, the great time to visit Murud beach is from October to February. It has a slightly warm summertime and less warm winters. However, it's far advisable to now not go to at some stage in monsoons due to the acute showers in the Konkan region. On the upside, the beauty boom manifolds at some point of monsoons. You should devise a go-to around festivities like Ganesh Chaturthi and the brand new year for an honestly vibrant vacation.
