The first mosque of the scribes was built in 1147 AD by Abd al-Moumen bin Ali al-Koumi, and the second mosque was built in 1158, as it resembles the same building as the first mosque.
This mosque occupies an area of about 5300 square meters, and is divided into 17 wings and 11 domes decorated and carved in a traditional creative way.
