Fire in the mountain! With the onset of summer, the hills around my city, have these fires lit on them. They are supposed to be controlled fires as a safety precaution to prevent any summer forest fires from spreading by creating zones which can't burn should a fire start. I'm not sure if this is a common practice - the fires look eerie at night! This shot was taken in the evening. I'll take one tonight to show you how it looks late at night.

Oh no! I hope there will be no lava fire going down?
Since it's just shrubs burning, i doubt that will happen!!
In summer, excessive heat causes fires in the dry leaves of the forest.
