Good morning everyone! I can't think of any topic to what I'm going to write but I come to think to a fiction story of Ahava. I hope you like it.
Ahava is a simple girl living in a province of Ilocos Norte. She is 18 years old and a first year college student taking up BS in Nursing. Her father is a certified farmer and her mother is a house keeper.
Her father wanted her to take BS in Agriculture because according to him Ahava will going to manage their farm in the future but Ahava wanted to be a nurse someday for she wanted to have a knowledge in medication so that in the future she can take care of her parents.
Because her father doesn't want her course he doesn't support Ahava financially. Because of this Ahava decided to bound in the city for she wanted to pursue her dreams not her father's dream. Her mother contacted her relatives in Manila for Ahava and to be as maid and at the same time to study.
Its tough to her to be away from her parents but she need to do it. Its for her own dream.She was thankful to her mother for understanding and for helping her. Her mother sending her money secretly for she was under her father. Ahava understand her father but she felt sad. She wanted her father to support her too like her mother but because of their different dreams they become distant to each other. But for Ahava its okay for her maybe its natural to a parent to have a plan or dream to their daughter/son. It just so happened that her father wanted different profession for Ahava.
Ahava is hoping that someday her father will accept her and their closeness to each other will bring back just like before. She miss her father a lot but he didn't even talk to her when she have time calling to their house.
Ahava felt tired everyday for she was ashamed not to do the household chores before going to school. Even she's living with her realtives she still need to do her work for she dont want her mother to get embarass to her relatives.She knows that after 4 years she will going to work at the hospital but for now she need to endure the pain physically everyday.
Ahava is a second year student now. "Two years to go. A little more hardwork" she told herself. But she didn't expect that she would get sick. She thought it was just a simple headache but she couldn't move her body and she think that she had a fever. Even she felt weak she still manage to call her mom but instead her mom her father talks on the phone.Ahava didn't know what to say for its been a long time that she didn't heard her father's voice. After hearing his father's voice she felt energized its like her fever had suddenly disappeared but she felt weak after her father said that her mother have a cancer stage two. She didn't know how to react for how come that her mother got sick. She is healthy. Ahava remember her mother sending her money before. "Is she secretely working just to send me money? When? Why I didn't question her before? What would I do now? " Ahava forgot that she is not feeling well. She open her piggy bank shaking and crying, she's hoping that she saves some money she need to go home but how's that its their final exam tommorrow. She put all her worries to God for she knows that she can't control the situation anymore. After praying she felt dizzy. "No not this time please Ahava keep moving"she told herself .
In the morning Ahava felt okay maybe because she was just tired and stress last night. Ahava felt sad again for she don't know what to do. She decided to go in the school for she wanted to talk to all her proffessors to give her special exam next next week. She's hoping that they will going to understand her. Some of her proffessors understood her. There are two proffessors of her made her choice "going home or exam". She felt crying that time she wanted to curse her two proffesors for even she kneel down infront of them no effects for them. They even said that she's making an excused.
Ahava take a deep, deep breath after going home she called her Dad. She wanted to know how her Mom is. To her surprised her dad said that she need to process her requirements for she's going to study in their town for her Mom.Ahava knows that her father obliged to say that because of her Mom but she's hoping that one day he will going to accept her with her course.
In the morning she process all her requirements in the school it takes her three days to get all her requirements. She felt exhausted for she needed to take exams to complete all her subjects. She's hoping that she'd passed the exam even she didn't review some of her subjects for she didn't have time. She fell asleep as soon she reach her bed.
In the morning her dad send her money for her fare going home. She said goodbyes and thank you to her friends and ofcourse to her mother's relatives. She's praying that she's safe until she reach her hometown for she is very exited to see her Mom and ofcourse her dad.
Her dad said that they going to surprise her Mom through her presence. Ahava made a time to buy a gift to her mother and to her father. She's hoping her parents will like it . She bought a necklace for her mom with a pendant heart shape and she put a picture of the three of them in it and she also buy three dresses red, black, and violet her mom's favorite color and for her dad she bought different tools that he can use in the farm but the most heavy equipment that she bought was the water pump. Yes she bought water pump for her dad that's her dream. Since her father send her enough money she had the chance to buy her dream gift to her parents. She knew that she need to save money but no one can stop her for its more than a year that she didn't see her parents.
Her mother was really surprised upon seeing Ahava with a lot of gifts. Her mother crying while hugging Ahava. Her father went outside Ahava didn't know why but she will talk to him later. "Mom what happened?" her mother didn't answer her but crying. Ahava hug her mom tightly.
However, Ahava saw her dad crying at the bench. She went to her dad crying also she wanted to hug him but she doubted if her father accept her. "Dad I'm sorry for not following what you wanted for me to do"she told her father maybe its time for her to follow her father's wanted. Because if she didn't pursue her dream her mother would be healthy and strong. It's all becauase of her why her mother got sick. "I'm sorry dad its all my fault if I followed you before theres nothing happen to mom" she explained to her Dad but he is still crying." I'm sorry Ava, no, this is all my fault if I finance your studies here you will not go to Manila to pursue your dreams. I'm sorry for neglecting what you wanted, I'm sorry for being selfish . I thought you'll going to follow me but I was wrong. Yes I feel like nothing to you before Ava. Its hurts that you didn't follow me but its hurt more when I didn't see you home all day. I'm so, sorry Ava for being cold to you for almost two years. Actually I miss you everyday, I miss your smiles, I miss your hugs your kisses and everything. Because I miss you very much I ignored your mom for sending you in Manila as maid and to study. I felt useless that time Ava. I felt that I'm the worst father in the world" Her father confessed. Ahava run and hug her dad tightly. She really miss her Dad so much." I'm sorry too daddy for I thought you disown me for not following your order. I'm so,sorry for feeling that way daddy. I love you everyday daddy. I took nursing daddy for you and mom. I want to have a knowledge in caring a patient so that I can take care of you two when you get old and get sick but I'm hoping that you and mom are healthy everyday" He cried and hug her more now he know that Ava thinks of their future too " I'm so, sorry Ava now I know your reason you can continue your studies here and I will support you. Maybe I can hope for a son-in-law who loves farming"he joke and Ava laugh with that " Dad I'm too young for that but lets see" she joke also "Ava study first please, take care of us first joke but from now on I will support you with all I can. Continue your course, strive harder, but I know you can do that" "Thanks Dad Love you"
Meanwhile, Ahava and her father went to Ahani her Mom. They wanted to surprise her that they are already okay. Her Mom was very happy for them for the whole family at last her family is complete again.
Ahani recover so fast its because of Ava's care and love. She is very thankful to her husband for supporting Ava now. She thought that her husband really angry with her and Ava. She thought that her family will break just because of her daughter's dream. "Thank you Lord for protecting Ava when she was in Manila until now. Thank you for giving her strength all the way and for guiding her all the time. She really possess her name's meaning "her loves stays even it witness the worst" Thank you Lord for she didn't gave up on her dad. She still accepts him even she witness her father's worst and that is neglecting her dreams and for ignoring and blaming me two for almost two years" while she's praying Ava called her " Mom what are you praying" "I'm thanking God for evrything most especially for you, for coming to our life" "Mom I'm more beyond thankful for being part of this family.Whatever happens I'll stay and love you and dad forever" They hug each other when they heard knock on the door "Breakfast is ready"Khanni said her husband.
Khannie felt complete seeing her queen and princess happy. He felt ashamed to them but thankful for accepting and for forgiving him with all he did to them. He felt that he is a failure husband and father but because of the Love of his wife and daughter he redeem himself and find to love them more.
After three years Ahava is the happiest daughter upon receing her diploma and graduating as Magnacumlaude and that year she passed the board exam. "This is all becauase of my parents Love, care and support to me" she shouted in their home.
Ahava work as a teacher in the university where she was graduated her alma matter.She wanted to work in a hospital before but she don't want the night shift schedule for she still wanted to be with her parents at night. She wanted to see them before she gets sleep and waking up in the morning. She may not work in the hospital but she was happy with her profession now.
Ahava is thankful to God where she is now. Thankful to her dad and to her mom. She is a teacher in the day a daughter at night.
Ahava realized that her parents is her strength everyday. Her dad may not be a perfect father but she considered him as her hero in life. Her mother may not be a perfect mother but she is her light in the dark. This is Ahava's life goes always stay and revolve with her family.
