He was born on 28 July 1986 in Kochi, India. He is an Indian film actor, playback singer and film producer who predominantly works in Malayalam language films. He is also a businessman. He has been worked in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language films.

He is son of actor Mammootty. But DQ graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Purdue University. He worked as a business manager before pursuing a career in acting.

I become his fan after watching his road thriller movie Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi. And I watch it as DQ' first movie to me. Just an masterpiece this is to me.
