The King of Fighters (KOF)[a] is a progression of battling games by SNK that started with the arrival of The King of Fighters '94 out of 1994. The arrangement was grown initially for SNK's Neo Geo MVS arcade equipment. This filled in as the principle stage for the arrangement until 2004 when SNK resigned it for the Atomiswave arcade board. Two King of Fighters games were delivered for the Atomiswave stage (The King of Fighters Neowave and The King of Fighters XI) before SNK chose to suspend utilizing it for the arrangement. The arrangement's latest arcade equipment is the Taito Type X2, first utilized with the arrival of The King of Fighters XII. Ports of the arcade games and the first The King of Fighters games have been delivered for a few computer game consoles. The most recent section in the arrangement, The King of Fighters XIV, was delivered for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows in 2016. The following game, The King of Fighters XV, is set to be delivered at some point in 2020.
