Bahadur Shah II, also called Bahadur Shah Zafar in history was the last Mughal Emperor who stayed at steerage from 1837 to 1857. He was conceived on October 24, 1775 and was the child of Akbar shah II. He was more than sixty when he climbed to the seat of Delhi. He was a generally excellent artist and a calligrapher just as a Sufi. After the war of autonomy of 1857, he was banished to Rangoon in 1858 where he passed on in 1862 at 87 years old.
