Qualities of a good Leader
A leader is a person with the qualities and ideas to motivate, encourage and direct others. A good leader is someone who inspires people toward a common goal by providing an example. Leaders can be found in all walks of life i.e in educational institutions, political arenas, religious organizations and businesses.
Some good qualities of leader are following:
Vision:
Good leaders have vision. They understand where they want their organizations to go, how they want it to get there, and why it serves a purpose beyond just making money for the owners. Good leaders help define the culture of an organization, build a supportive team and help people grow. In short, good leaders create something different from what existed before they took over
A great leader creates a vision for their team and truly believes that vision. They can communicate it in a clear and convincing way, consistently taking action on what is important for its realization.
A leader, first and foremost, must be a visionary. This means a leader has the ability to see possibilities that current reality doesn't reveal and have the courage to pursue those possibilities even though they may be hard to imagine.
Inspiration:
A good leader is a person who knows how to inspire the people around him. He can motivate them, make them work for something bigger, and support their ideas.Inspiration is the ability of a leader to provide motivation and direction for their team members. Inspired leaders have a vision, know how to set goals, create a culture of accountability, and make decisions that inspire growth. Inspiration can empower your employees and make everyone believe that they are capable of achieving great things.
Good communicator:
The ability to communicate effectively is a quality that every good leader should have. The success of any business venture depends on the interaction between employees, clients and customers. Good leaders are able to utilize communication strategies so that all parties involved understand each other's needs and expectations.The ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and courteously is one of the most important skills a leader can have. Accountability is one of the most important quality of good leader. In order to be accountable, a leader must take responsibility for his or her team, ideas and results. Without accountability a team cannot be successful because there is no clear ownership and responsibility for any particular area of the. business or project. A good leader takes responsibility for the actions of the people that they lead. One of the most fundamental qualities of a good leader is accountability, meaning they are morally and ethically responsible for the actions that their people take. A leader who isn't willing to accept this may have trouble getting others on board with tasks or projects.
Problem solver:
A good leader should always be a problem solver. He/she should be able to resolve issues in a timely manner and come up with solutions that benefit the overall organization. The good Leader takes into consideration the employees and their individual needs, as well as turns more challenges into opportunities for growth within the company and its employees.
A good leader has the ability to solve problems. A good leader does not get overwhelmed by problems; a good leader turns problems into opportunities for growth. Good leaders understand that the world will always throw problems at them in their leadership journey, but if they stay calm and are positive, they can overcome any problem.
