Mohammad bin Qasim came down the persian Gulf to Daibul. He used siege engines to capture the city of Daibul and marched on to face Raja Dahir. The raja was killed in the battle that took place at Rawar across the River Indus from Daibul. As new of his conquest reached towns inside Sindh and the Punjab, the rulers surrendered without mach resistance. Mohammad bin Qasim now controlled sindh and southern Punjab as far as the city of Multan.
