Great thread about BCH market performance Not sure I agree with the idea that BCH needs a bear market to regain ranking - do agree that there could be a coordinated publicity drive - although sorry to say I don’t see the flipstarter projects that promised to solve this coming through yet - Hayden Otto and bchtube still not visible. One other thought - this level of community bearishness (and there’s allot of it going around) could be a sign that we’re nearing the end of a major shakeout. When the hardcore proponents are starting to talk about suppression and thinking of the losses in terms of other projects doing better it’s ripe for a reversal. https://twitter.com/p0oker/status/1443032046981378048
Every now and again I get market update emails from the cryotosniper. Its always fun to read a doomsday scenario during morning coffee. “Hi Z1, It has always been our view, that money is made in the sitting not the trading. Big Macro moves, held over a substantial timespan, pay best. We currently expect the following price movements in the near future: 1. $DXY through 117.5 in the next 12 months, FED actually makes some moves on ‘alleged’ Taper agenda. 2. EURO, Eastern Majors and Emerging FX to lose a lot of ground to the USD. 3. EURCHF to make a sub 0.70 down break from current 1.08/900 handle, in major refocus on European banking, social unrest, post Brexit EU project funding representing a 35,5% selling spike dip. 4. As part of a Dollar rising, the USDKRW faces a near 50% Spike through 2100, from current levels circa 1100. 5. Extreme spike run on the Shanghai Comp Index, driven by weak currency & post Evergrande measures. 6. Key moment symbolising a RESET trigger drops. On a rising Dollar, Gold, Silver & Platinum & crypto, the Anti-Fiats, climb on a strengthening dollar, as alternatives to the dollar in a Rest of the World [RoW] Fiat fleeing event, see’s PM’s, Bitcoin & Crypto generally overperform substantially. 7. Chronic inflation now moves from the USA to Emerging, Eastern & EU continent, with associated social unrest. 8. Calls to end Dollar hegemony escalate, inadvertently calling for NWO financial system & Central Bank Digital Tokens with approved spending capability via centralised control, Social Scoring & Biometric ID & Travel CV19/Green/Carbon passports. [From the frying pan into the fire]”
Good to find a positive video about BCH on YouTube - rare - analysis of Bitcoin Cash focusing on user growth and technical developments. https://youtu.be/DxV05zclYVk
I love this story. Artist produces empty frames as protest for low pay. https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2021/sep/28/danish-artist-delivers-empty-frames-for-84k-fee-as-low-pay-protest?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
Do I love BCH - yes Do I think it's an amazing cryptocurrency that is undervalued - yes Am I happy about its relative performance - no Can I do anything about it - At every opportunity I try to introduce people to BCH and will continue to spread the word on its development as a great peer to peer form of electronic cash. Depressing - but still no sign of a trend reversal for Bitcoin Cash in terms of market dominance or change in investment behaviour. The chart is BCH vs midcaps - which is showing relative weakness. Also a new low on BCH dominance. Currently, BCH is testing the 500 USD resistance level which is significant. https://www.tradingview.com/x/1AWPhhiP/
If you’re going to look at the charts go to the underpants store first.
Bitcoin Cash No. 3 in trading volume excluding stable coins. Daily traded volume as a percentage of market cap BCH - 53.7% ETH - 6.1% BTC - 4,5% https://youtu.be/XgXrqR5c5Xk
We need Hayden Ottos flipstarter Bitcoin Cash YouTube video ASAP. I’m starting to get scared of looking at BCH market ranking. https://bitcoinbch.com/blog/youtubes-number-1-bitcoin-cash-video
Great idea to shorten the block times on BCH by a factor of 10 to increase speed of confirmations. Particularly good if you’re sending large amounts or use services that require 6-12 confirmations. More on the idea highlighted by OG Foundation: https://youtu.be/k3Y1zm3oDeY
Anyone else having to reconnect the noise.cash wallet on a regular basis? I'm running noise.cash on Safari iOS and OSX I'm getting booted out about once a day
Having breakfast with my brother in law - just got him to download the Bitcoin.com wallet and am sending him $5 of Bitcoin Cash. He loves it!
Got an email from epik.com saying they had a security breach and I should check my credit card details. No need I paid for my domain with Bitcoin Cash.
Exciting news! I'm going out for a pizza! Update: changed my mind getting shrimp dumplings instead.
Ok - I've answered my own question - apologies for being such a lazy b@stard. Yes - you can link the noise.cash and read.cash wallet together by using the seed words. These platforms keep getting better and better - big cheers for the development team!
After the upgrade - can you have the same wallet for read.cash and noise.cash now?
Just read @pantera99 s article about the hacking attempts on noise.cash congratulations to the noise.cash team for keeping the platform up and running. whoever is behind the attack one thing is clear this is a signal that noise.cash is on everybody's radar.
Ok after an initial test on benswap.cash - my current review - not really worth chucking money at it yet. Liquidity is too low in the markets and assets are too volatile leaving you open to inconsequential losses when providing liquidity. 0.5 BCH will get you about 1.4% of the KTH liquidity pool leaving you very open to rapid fluctuations. I provided liquidity in KTH for 24hours and the minor changes in the overall liquidity mean losses in BCH which are not offset by the increase in KTH you get as a result. Gas fees are high in the pools so you really need to be staking a lot of a token for the interest rates to cover compounding and harvesting fees. As @moregainstrategies already wrote in a recent article - the forums are full of mooners but they do seem to be very enthusiastic for the platform. The metamask and coinflex system work well. Will check again in a few weeks.
After a bit of messing around I managed to set up my noise.cash wallet. Luckily I have access to two devices otherwise it would have been a bit of hassle as I messed up my first go. Make sure to record the seed phrase and wallet configuration - if you loose your phone or computer - you’ll need it to set up again. Having gone through a few o shit moments over the years my advise is write it down on a piece of paper and store it somewhere safe. Nothing beats an analog record.
Just spotted this on Twitter market cap for smart bch tokens. https://www.marketcap.cash/
ok - so I went on BenSwap and swapped some smart bch to eben and pooled it. So technically I know how to do a full conversion from bch to smart bch to eben this is so abstract - now I have to do some research to actually work out what I've done! what the f@ck does it all mean?
BCH ranks no.4 in liquidity (24hour trading volume) but no.16 in market cap (price x circulated coins) - if someone could explain this to me I'd be very happy to listen. https://www.coingecko.com/en I often see comments about why BCH is included in almost every new payment platform - simple it has a consistantly high trading volume meaning it is a highly liquid marketplace.
Marc Falzon’s series on El Salvador and the first weeks of the introduction of the lightning network have been very interesting. https://mobile.twitter.com/MarcFalzon/status/1437538404770750473 Of course you can critique this form of foreign journalism but I do think his work will form part of historical narrative of how cryptocurrency became adopted including its failures and successes. His latest post on Twitter and video shows the difficulty in trying to report on the ground events to an arm chair cult of BTC maxis. It’s actually a real shame for the entire cryptocurrency community. Firstly it’s ridiculous that a government forced payment system doesn’t work - or not ridiculous if you count fiascos such as the UK’s track and trace Corona Virus system and countless other National digital platforms that are bugged. Secondly the responses defending the system are nonsense - either a system works or it doesn’t. The stakes are actually quite high - in the video he quotes a bike salesman but what if it was food or medicine? If it doesn’t work update it or replace it. Prediction - the next bear market low will be in when El Salvador officially drops the requirement to accept Bitcoin due to unforeseen technical issues rendering the system inoperable at nation wide scale.
People sure do love to hate on Bitcoin Cash. Here’s an example from the localcryptos.com telegram group. Traders confusing crypto market caps with an actual market space. You can hate on bch which has become a form of popular tribalism or you can just get on with cheap, trusted and established transactions.
Feel like my life has had two stages Growing up I witnessed the fall of the Berlin wall the opening of borders and the freedom to travel anywhere I want at the drop of a hat. This week, I had my bank stop withdrawals from my crypto exchange quoting issues with money laundering and have just spent the last 30 minutes filling out forms for travel in Europe asking me where I'm going to stay and for how long, etc. I feel monitored, transport of my money blocked and branded as outside the norm. I'm not sure if cryptocurrency is going to help tackle all of the issues - but the power structures are making a very good case for why it's needed.
Trying to set up some smart BCH to use on Benswap.cash using metamask and coinflex - going to try and add to the liquidity pools for smart BCH. So far the best thing is the little fox head on metamask - I love it when new finance meets cuteness. @Kain_niak has a tutorial here on converting to smart bch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6rxjhHgRrc&t=50s&ab_channel=Kain_niaK
Used localcryptos.com for the second time today. The escrow system is pretty good - I think it’s better if you’re the seller as the crypto is protected. Some of the trades and take a lot longer than 45mins so you have to be a bit patient - traders seem to be sorting out cash on the other end - such is the nature of P2P. I like the fact you get the private keys to the wallets you send crypto to. So in electron-cash you can control the entire system or just set up a watch wallet.
Localcryptos - bch killing it on the platform - spotted this in @Pantera99 Twitter feed https://mobile.twitter.com/LocalCryptosEN/status/1436575551041404930
Been a great couple of weeks for me and BCH. Last week split my coins Got more bch And have just completed my first localcryptos.com transaction Fuck the banks
Went to set up a Revolut account - but of course my driver licence is out of date and I haven’t bothered applying for a Swedish passport. Having a legendary day here.
