US court dismisses human rights abuse case against Bitcoin country El Salvador
The hatred of a section of the population against the crypto world is such that El Salvador was sued in a New York court on the pretext of crimes against humanity just after it made Bitcoin legal tender. Recently, the court dismissed that case.
Human Rights Issue
El Salvador has been cracking down on armed rebels and miscreants, arresting members of all the country's criminal gangs, and as expected, human rights organizations have been protesting against the crackdown. This was emphasized in the case. However, the court held that El Salvador was a sovereign country outside the jurisdiction of US courts, so it could not be prosecuted.
Excuse For Terrorism
Bitcoin opponents tried to link the encounter with armed insurgents with terrorism to save the petition. Although cases related to terrorism are considered serious in US courts; however, this too has been rejected on the grounds that the US has not declared El Salvador a terrorist state.
Struggling Square
El Salvador is the smallest land country on the American continent. It was developed by President Nayib Bukele with the help of bitcoin. The struggle for development is not easy; there are jealous people to deal with. Nayib Bukele also has to deal with the question of national sovereignty.
