Poloniex hacked, Justin Sun suspected
The Poloniex exchange led by Justin Sun has been hacked, and suspicion is falling on Justin Sun himself.
Poloniex hack revealed
Security firm PeckShield noticed suspicious transactions from Poloniex, but Poloniex tried to hide it and claimed that its wallet has been disabled for maintenance. Analyst firm Akhram tracked that assets worth up to $100 million were hacked from Poloniex, which angered the investors.
Justin Sun's demage control attempt
Justin Sun admitted that Poloniex was hacked while also attempting to maintain the trust of the platform. Justin Sun also reported that Poloniex is fully capable of handling itself. Sun also decided to fully compensate the accounts affected by the incident.
Doubt falls on Justin Sun
The value of Justin Sun's token TRX increased after that incident, which definitely benefited Sun. Additionally, Sun offered the hacker a 5% White Hat bonus if he returned the assets within 7 days. In September, Justin Sun similarly rewarded the HTX hacker; hence, the suspicions about him have deepened.
