Eric Schiermeye and Wright Thurston, both co-founders of the play-to-earn blockchain gaming platform Gala Games, are suing each other in Utah District Court, bringing the entire system of GALA into controversy.

CEO sues Director

Gala Games CEO Eric Schiermeye has accused company director Wright Thurston of stealing and selling $130 million worth of tokens from the system through his investment firm, True North United Investments, and stealing the licences of nodes that earn GALA tokens.

Director sues CEO

Gala Games director Wright Thurston has accused Schiermeyer of operating the Gala without input and not providing correct information despite repeated requests. Along with this, Thurston has sought Schiermeye to be fired from the company, as well as damages of $750 million from him.

What Next?

Wright Thurston had already been accused by the SEC of selling tokens illegally, so this strengthens Schiermeyer's case; however, the SEC's position in the crypto world is such that whoever it speaks against now seems to be the right party. Therefore, both sides are still in the middle.
