Elliptic hacking report, a True illusion
According to the Elliptic study, North Korean hackers, known as the Hermit Kingdom hackers, hacked $2.3 billion worth of crypto between 2017 and 2022, with Japan accounting for 30% of the losses, the highest figure for any country.
The Source Says All
Its source is Britain's crypto analysis firm, Elliptic. Although Elliptic hasn't provided simple analysis, it has a haphazard record of studies. The Japanese newspaper Nikkei has made this claim by preparing its report from the studies of Elliptic. So far, neither Elliptic nor Nikkei's social media or website are showing anything on this, but according to Reuters, this is the source, and it has been accepted by the crypto news world.
Half Reality, Half Illusion
As it is known from the source itself, there is no definite information about it. We do not know how much truth there is in this. Even more puzzling, how could the source have been identified? Because crypto is such a system in which privacy is natural, without doing KYC, information cannot be gathered about who is from which country. So it is difficult to assume that the source of this information would have the KYC of everyone.
Confirm before you believe
Unless confirmed, no source is correct or incorrect, I'm just arguing that they should be verified. For instance, Coinbase is the only party with knowledge of its decisions. But we can't just believe what they say; for instance, FTX keeps its cunning intentions a secret from everyone. Various methods of confirmation are required.
